Don't
miss this opportunity for children with physical disabilities
to experience a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports with
top adaptive sports professionals and coaches. Camp Trek is
based at Independence Grove and Oak Grove Middle School in
Libertyville, IL. Activities offered include: wheelchair and ambulatory basketball,
cycling, handcycling, kayaking, wheelchair floor hockey, boccia, wheelchair softball,
tennis, fishing, power soccer, track and field, aerobics, arts & crafts, and more!
The
camp is primarily for children in the in northern Illinois
and southern Wisconsin area. This great opportunity to try
out the latest and greatest adaptive sports equipment on the
market under the direction of experts in the field. The event
will also feature Parent Education Sessions and our new Youth
Mentoring Program.
Camp Trek is designed to give kids a chance to meet others
and learn about new activities as well as improve their skills
in current sports of interest.
Family
members are welcome!

What is Camp Trek: Camp Trek is an adaptive sports youth camp that is designed to provide an introduction for the beginner athlete and additional training for the more advanced athlete. Activities will be available for the individual who is ambulatory or utilizes a manual or power wheelchair.
Who:
Youth Ages 8 thru 18 who have a primary physical impairment. *Individuals will be grouped according to age and ability.
Medical Staff: Qualified nurses each day
Cost:
$150 for entire week or $40 per day
includes equipment, instruction, and personal care
*Scholarships available - We will not allow cost to be a barrier to participation.
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
