"Stars
of Tomorrow" is an opportunity for youth with physical
disabilities to experience handcycling, water-skiing, paddle
sports, softball, arts and crafts and more! Ages 6-18. FREE
to participants! The camp also includes lunch and snacks.
The
Colorado Mammoth Lacrosse Team was on hand last year and will
be there again for the event in 2008! Members of the team
have offered to demonstrate their skills as well as teach
the kids about the game of lacrosse.
Directions
to Sloan's Lake: Once in Denver, take Colfax Ave. west to
Sheridan Blvd and go North (right). Less than a mile, you
will see the lake on the right. Turn right on Byron St. and
look for the boathouse, tents and docks (about 1/2 mile) on
the right hand side. If you have trouble finding Sloan's Lake
call Matt @ 303-910-9831. If you are planning to be at the
Wed. program the day before the camp, you can contact Leah
at Denver Parks and Rec. at 303-839-4803. Click here to see a map.
