Donation FAQs

Why should I give to Adaptive Adventures?

Giving your support to Adaptive Adventures helps open the doors of adventure to people with physical disabilities who are many times excluded from empowering activities. We are able to advance their quality of life through year-round outdoor sports and recreation. Our programs offer opportunities for people with physical disabilities including, but not limited to: amputations, paraplegia, quadriplegia, birth defects, cerebral palsy, head injuries, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, strokes and visual impairments.

Our programs, expert staff and dedicated volunteers -- many who are also physically challenged -- have allowed us to establish ourselves as a nationwide leader in the world of adaptive sports and recreation. Our knowledgeable and experienced team is a known resource to therapists, rehabilitation hospitals, parks and recreation departments and peer organizations.

What does 501(c)(3) mean?

In practical terms, it means that donors can enjoy the greatest possible tax advantages, in recognition of the agency’s public charitable purpose.
