Adaptive Adventures is important to Peter because of his personal experience with, and deep belief in, the healing and restorative power of being outdoors, engaging in physical activity, and finding community through shared experiences. He believes these elements strengthen both physical and mental well-being. As a veteran, he is especially inspired by Adaptive Adventures’ work with veterans and others with physical disabilities.
Peter grew up in Bend, Oregon, where the surrounding mountains and outdoor culture instilled in him a lifelong passion for adventure. He competed in cross-country skiing at the collegiate level and continues to enjoy the sport today.
Peter now lives in the Seattle area with his wife and their son. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, running, cross-country skiing, paddle boarding, and nearly any activity that gets him outdoors and moving.
