Calli Roers
Adaptive Sports Coordinator
Calli received a BA in Psychology and a BS in Therapeutic Recreation from Winona State University in Minnesota. She received the Outstanding Graduate designation in both of her programs. During her time at WSU, Calli completed practicums with EasterSeals Wisconsin and STAR LaCrosse, organizations that focused on inclusive recreation. She also led several academic and recreational clubs that incorporated adaptive sports and inclusive recreation.
In May of 2022, Calli came to Colorado for a summer experience with Adaptive Adventures. Following her summer in Colorado, Calli returned to Minnesota to finish her Psychology degree. She moved back to Colorado in January 2023 for her official internship with Adaptive Adventures. Calli joined the Adaptive Adventures staff team at the completion of her Therapeutic Recreation degree.
Calli has a passion for learning and is always looking to expand her knowledge in adaptive recreation. Some of her certifications include AMGA Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI), Mental Health First Aid – Adult (MHFA), Mental Health First Aid – Youth (MHFA), Dementia Friend, and many others.
Calli was born in Minnesota and raised in Wisconsin. She grew up exploring Devil’s Lake State Park and the driftless region. She is the oldest of three and loves spending time with her family. In her spare time, Calli can be found jumping in cold water, paddleboarding the lakes, exploring climbing areas, or taking pictures of the beautiful outdoors.
