Nicki Schiller
Community + Culture Manager
Nicki Schiller grew up in Tampa Bay, Florida, where she found a love for advocacy and
wellness early on. Her journey in service started as a dance instructor, working with children
living with physical and intellectual disabilities. She carried her passion for philanthropy to the University of North Florida, where she organized backpack drives for active service members, coordinated fundraisers for Court Appointed Special Advocates, and dedicated over 500+ volunteer hours with the Jacksonville Humane Society.
A talented project manager and passionate philanthropist, Nicki first joined the team at Shedd Aquarium in 2022, serving as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. When she wasn’t at the office or training for another race, she was serving on the board for Chicago-based non-profit Resilience, which provided education, support, and advocacy to survivors of sexual abuse.
After relocating to Colorado in the winter of 2023, Nicki dived back into outdoor recreation and service, and joined the Adaptive Adventures team in summer of 2024. Sports and wellness had been a mental health release for her for decades, and she was empowered to join a community dedicated to helping people find the same outlet she found years before.
Nicki lives in downtown Denver with her partner Marlee, another sports enthusiast. In the little downtime she has, Nicki spends it training for her next half marathon, rooting for the Colorado Avalanche, or looking for a new favorite book to read.
