An evening of education, climbing, philanthropy and socializing featuring adaptive climber and sponsored athlete, Craig DeMartino
Craig DeMartino is the climbing coordinator at Adaptive Adventures. Craig has 30 years of climbing experience, 14 of those as an adaptive climber. Craig lost his leg in a 100-foot ground fall in 2002. His love of climbing and being outside fueled his recovery and now he loves to expose other adaptive athletes to the vertical world. Enjoy Craig’s presentation as he recounts his experiences and those of helping other adaptive climbers.
Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Colorado Gives Day is on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Donations supporting Adaptive Adventures are accepted through adaptiveadventures.org/coloradogives.
Adaptive Adventures mission in action keeps growing — and we need your help. In the past year we have seen increasing demand for the many year round therapeutic recreation programs that we offer to enrich the lives of more than 1,500 children, adults, and veterans who live with physical challenges. Your support makes a difference. A primary goal for Adaptive Adventures is to subsidize program fees and at the same time, provide financial scholarships for those who need it. Our core philosophy is that 'cost cannot be a barrier to accessible recreation.' Your gift will help underwrite the costs of adaptive recreation programs including equipment, activity days, multi-day camps, educational outreach, excursions and individual lessons.
Some people say you can’t buy smiles – but you can and you will. You will help participants get outside and be active – and you will create a whole lot of smiles! So “Thank You!” Thank you for your consideration of a gift in support of our mission. Help us help others to find FREEDOM through mobility!
