Bridgett's story of freedom through Mobility with Adaptive Adventures is one example of the impact your contribution makes today. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible and will be utilized to provide ongoing programs at no cost to our participants and their families. Your donation provides adaptive sports instructors, leading-edge adaptive equipment, accessible facilities, gear logistics, and much more as we travel across the country to provide services in underserved areas.

Volunteers are the foundation of Adaptive Adventures. Our organization has a very small professional staff supported by over 650 volunteers. We have onsite volunteers who work with our program and events team on everything from training and instruction to event coordination and planning. We also have volunteers who provide administrative support, volunteer coordination, fundraising and special event support, and satellite program implementation.
As a volunteer with Adaptive Adventures, you will have the opportunity to interact with people of all abilities and participate alongside them in the sports that interest you most. Adaptive Adventures provides all volunteers with general disability awareness training and sport specific volunteer trainings. Throughout the year, volunteers have the opportunity to further their skills through specialty trainings in transferring, working with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, visual impaired guide training and First Aid/CPR.

Testimonials From Former Interns
"My time here at Adaptive Adventures has been crazy, but amazing. I want to share my gratitude for allowing me the time to come to Colorado and work alongside you: I am also grateful for how sweet and genuine you were with me. Other places I have been to help have not been as relatable and connecting as you. My heart feels for what you all do and I would love to continue to help in any way I can"
- Tiffani
“When people ask what I did during my summer at Adaptive Adventures, the list is so long I don't know where to begin. I am beyond grateful to have had this opportunity and feel like I have a deeper understanding of the work behind nonprofits and the people who operate them.”
- Anna
"The internship went beyond what I expected, and it has made à huge impact in my learning. My supervisor was great example of what a CTRS should be. Thank you!"
– Gilbert
