Chicagoland Adaptive Climbing Club
Adaptive Adventures is excited to partner with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and bring climbing opportunities to the Chicagoland area! Currently, programs are offered every other Monday at our Chicago-Suburb location, Vertical Endeadvors. Climbing opportunities in the downtown area will be available in May with further details to come!
Climbing is an activity which can be easily adapted to almost any ability level, and it fosters an amazing sense of community, trust, courage and accomplishment. As many of our participants can understand, the metaphor of climbing is appropriate for breaking through perceived barriers and summiting new challenges. Whether you have an amputation, spinal cord injury, visual impairment or limited mobility due to CP, SB, MS, MD or other physical conditions, we have opportunities for you to experience or excel in sports. We are currently offering programs for both children (ages eight and above) and adults.
Chicagoland Adaptive Climbing Club provides opportunities for persons with physical disabilities and thier loved ones to enjoy the sport and lifestyle of climbing. We provide instruction, adaptive gear, plenty of encouragement and a cool community of poeple to help reach new heights.
