VOLUNTEERS - If you can proficiently ski/ride any blue run, we will train you to be a "dynamic" Volunteer Rockstar. It takes many volunteers to run a program of this calibur and we'd love to have your assistance. Please go to the Midwest Calendar to register for avaialable sessions and email Linda "LT" Tomsevics or call 414.640.3756 if you have any additional questions. We look forward to having you join us!
Welcome to the seventh season of Adaptive Adventures Midwest Adaptive Ski & Ride Program. The program
is presented by Adaptive Adventures working in partnerships with local mountains which allow us to offer opportunities at several locations in addition to our base at Wilmot Mountain, including Alpine Valley, WI; Cascade Mountain, WI; The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva, WI; Seven Oaks Recreation Area, IA, and Spirit Mountain, MN. 2016 - 2017 will mark our seventh full season of operations and we are excited to continue to develop needed adaptive ski opportunties for individuals with physical and visual disabilities in Northern Illinois, Southern Wisconsin and throughout the region.
Many resources are needed to continue the development of this new program. Contributions of time, money, and in-kind donations are all vital to providing alpine ski, snowboard, and cross country opportunities to physically challenged athletes in the area. Our greatest need is for volunteer ski and ride instructors. If you are a strong skier/rider, we can teach you to work with different abilities and equipment.
Our overall goal is to introduce paticipants to snow sports in a safe, fun, and learning environment.
Note: Cost is $50/session which includes lift tickets, equipment, instruction, and staffing
