Adaptive Adventures Rafting Program

The 2011 rafting season marked a big move forward for the Adaptive Adventures rafting program. Based out of Aspen, CO and operating throughout Colorado and adjoining states, the program added equipment, staff, and a professional outfitters license this season. Among the events this year, Adaptive Adventures orovided a multi-day Wilderness Rafting Trip through Dinosaur National Monument, a Wounded Warrior trip in Oregon, and six group rafting trips in Central Colorado. "The Adaptive Adventures wilderness rafting trip was one of the most memorable experiences of my life," commented a disabled veteran participant last year.

Bigger and better in 2012...

Under the expert leadership of experienced rafting guide and wilderness leader Chris Werhane and several experience guides, the program looks to continue recent growth next summer. AA will be offering a number of trips for their youth camps and Wounded Warrior groups, in addition to providing some new open enrollment opportunities in  for people with physical disabilities and their families.
